- Twitch Drop Codes: During the launch period (January 2026), several streamers gave away Steam codes for exclusive “Hazmat” and “Twitch” skins for your checkpoint helpers. To equip these, enter the code in Steam, then go to Settings > Gameplay and scroll to the bottom to toggle the DLC skins.
- Creator Codes: Influencers like gameriot have creator codes that support them if you purchase the game through specific storefronts like Epic or Ubisoft, though these do not typically unlock in-game items.
Quarantine Zone: The Last Check Hidden Secrets & Cash
- The “Ask Your Mom” Easter Egg: Equip your flashlight and head to the Storage/Garage area. Look for a building with a red canopy labeled “11 Seven.” Follow the red footprints behind the white tent to find a boarded-up door with a The Walking Dead reference.
- Free $1,000: In the same “Ask Your Mom” questline, go to the Survivor Block and use your flashlight to inspect every person. The one with bright red paint smeared on them is a vandal who will pay you $1,000 to keep quiet.
- Collectibles: Watch for sparkling gold items. Even if they aren’t “contraband,” confiscating them grants an immediate $500 bonus.
The “Restart Day” Exploit
If you are struggling to identify if a survivor is truly infected, many players use the “Restart Day” trick:
- Send all suspicious (orange symptom) survivors to the Quarantine Zone.
- Sleep to progress to the next day.
- Kill everyone in the cage to see who was actually infected.
- Restart the day in the pause menu. You will keep your knowledge of who is “clean” without having wasted resources or lost respect points.
To Enable Console Commands
For the PC version, you can access the developer console (usually via the ~ or F1 key, depending on your keyboard layout) to enter technical commands:
showfps/hidefps: Displays your performance.freecam: Toggles a free-flying camera (useful for spotting contraband or graffiti).save: Manually forces a save state.
